🌿 Clear Cafe, a Hidden Oasis in Ubud
Hello, it's Travelynn. Today, I’m excited to introduce a peaceful oasis right in the heart of Ubud, Bali — Clear Cafe. This place isn’t just a cafe. It’s a space where you can pause from the hustle and truly reconnect with yourself.
A Journey Begins the Moment You Step Inside
Clear Cafe is located at Jl. Hanoman No. 8 in central Ubud. But the moment you reach the entrance, the noise of the town fades away, replaced by a serene calm.
What stood out the most to me was the unique entrance ritual — removing your shoes and entering barefoot. Inspired by traditional Balinese temples, this gesture symbolizes cleansing your mind before entering the space.
Meeting Nature in the Middle of the City
Beyond the entrance, you’ll find koi ponds, vertical gardens, and the gentle sound of water all blending into a serene atmosphere. It truly embodies the phrase “urban oasis.”
1st Floor: A Space of Natural Tranquility
Sunlight pours through large windows, highlighting interiors adorned with trees and natural stones. Sitting by the pond with a cup of tea is a healing experience in itself.
2nd Floor: A Quiet Place to Focus
Head upstairs for a sweeping view of the garden below. It’s quieter and cozier — perfect for quiet conversations near the windows or focused work in the back corners.
Clean Food That Nourishes the Mind
True to its motto, “Clean Food for Clean Minds,” Clear Cafe offers a vibrant menu of healthy, flavorful dishes made with vegetarian, vegan, and organic ingredients.
- Pad Thai – A Thai classic made with fresh local ingredients. Light but rich in flavor.
- Fresh Juices – With names like “Bali Berry” and “Hot Lava,” these refreshing drinks uplift both body and mood.
- Open Sesame Salad – A hearty bowl with falafel, avocado, and a colorful mix of veggies.
- Nasi Campur – A unique take on this classic Indonesian mixed rice dish.
The Ideal Workspace for Digital Nomads
If you’re looking for fast Wi-Fi in Ubud, this is one of the best spots. I worked here for several hours and was impressed by the strong and stable connection. Power outlets are also readily available.
Open daily from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM, it’s a great place for Zoom calls, blog writing, or video editing in a calm environment.
