Biyukukung Suites & Spa – An Affordable Gem in Ubud, Bali
Hello travelers! Today, I'm excited to share my honest review of Biyukukung Suites & Spa, my second hotel stay in Ubud.
Only a 5-minute walk to The Yoga Barn, with dreamy rice field views – all for around $35 USD! I was genuinely surprised the moment I arrived.
Location & First Impressions
The main reason I chose this place was its walkable distance to The Yoga Barn. The location is super convenient and central.
Another standout was the eco-friendly bamboo architecture. It felt so natural and refreshing – the definition of sustainable living.
Room Layout & Vibe
- Room: Gadung 106
- 1st Floor: Bathroom, pantry area, balcony
- 2nd Floor: King bed with panoramic glass windows overlooking lush rice fields
Every morning felt magical watching the sunrise through those glass walls. You truly feel immersed in nature.
Instagram Spots & Pools
The entire property is photogenic! Especially the bamboo buildings and pools.
- Natural-style pool surrounded by bamboo villas
- Another modern-style pool near the entrance
Nature Sounds & Mosquitos
You’ll hear everything – roosters, birds, dogs. Nature’s ASMR! If you're noise-sensitive, bring earplugs.
There were some mosquitos, but each bed had a net, so I had no big issues.
Bathroom & Breakfast
the bathroom could use some improvement. Still manageable for a short stay.
Breakfast was average, but the fried noodles were excellent. Other items were just okay.
Spa Info
As the name suggests, the spa is lovely. I got a traditional Balinese massage by a creek – super peaceful.
They also offer spa packages for stays over 2 nights, so ask at check-in!
Mainly International Guests
During my stay, I didn’t see other Koreans – mostly Japanese and Chinese travelers. It still feels like a hidden gem!
